When should I start solids?
Some common signs that babies may be ready to start solids include sitting up with support, showing an interest in food when others are eating, and controlling their head and neck movements. They may also start to drool more frequently and develop a pincer grasp, which allows them to pick up small objects. Additionally, most pediatricians recommend waiting until around 4-6 months of age before introducing solids, as babies’ digestive systems are not fully developed. However, it’s important to note that every baby is different, and you should always consult with your pediatrician before starting solids or making any changes to your baby’s diet.
